It’s also not just about what you eat. Whilst we all know good nutrition is important, it’s essential to take a 360 approach to your health. Your body is a massively interconnected system; how you sleep, move your body, manage stress, talk to yourself and connect with others, it’s all important. I thought I was invincible until I was told I had breast cancer at 44.

Career, family and a relentless to-do list; like most women, I was juggling it all. I was also a huge fan of facials and other non-invasive procedures (I still am!) to keep me looking young. What I wasn’t doing was working on my body from the inside out. The importance of making dietary and lifestyle changes in your 40s just wasn’t on my radar. I’d missed the memo on that!

A nagging voice in my head was telling me to start prioritising my health but I just didn’t have the time, so I ignored it. There’s a lot you can do to future-proof your health, and we can all make changes to the genetic hand we are dealt with. It took getting a shock diagnosis for me to prioritise my well-being, but this doesn’t have to be your story.

I wanted to learn all the cutting-edge approaches to healthy living I could get my hands on. This led me to the College of Naturopathic Medicine where I completed the Natural Food Chef Diploma and went on to get certified as a Health Coach (UK Federation of Holistic Therapists).

When I started to look at my body from a lifestyle perspective, EVERYTHING changed.
